Heatiz is designed with your privacy in mind. Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate servers, and no personal data is sent to or stored by us.

Location Data
Heatiz requests access to your precise GPS location during match recording on Apple Watch. Location data is used exclusively to build your match heatmap and compute movement statistics. It is stored locally via HealthKit and your iCloud account. Location data is never shared with third parties.
Health & Fitness Data
Heatiz reads workout data, GPS routes, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep analysis, distance, and active calories from Apple Health. HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep data are used solely to compute your daily Recovery Score. This data is created by the Apple Watch app during match recording and read by the iPhone app for display and analysis. Health data is never transmitted outside of HealthKit and your personal iCloud. Heatiz does not sell, share, or monetise any health or fitness information.
iCloud Sync
Match annotations (goals, assists, ratings, positions, weather snapshots) are stored in CloudKit, which syncs across your personal Apple ID. This data is private to your iCloud account and is not accessible to us.
Weather
Heatiz uses Apple's WeatherKit framework to fetch historical weather conditions for completed matches. The request uses your match location and date; no personal identifier is included. WeatherKit requests are subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
Diagnostic Data
Heatiz uses Apple's MetricKit framework to capture crash diagnostic reports on your device if the app crashes. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never automatically transmitted anywhere. If you choose to share a crash report with us for support purposes, you do so manually through Settings → Diagnostics → Share Crash Report. You can clear all stored crash reports at any time from the same screen.
Third-Party Services
Heatiz does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. All frameworks used — HealthKit, CloudKit, WeatherKit, MetricKit — are provided by Apple.
Your Data Controls
Since Heatiz does not collect or store your data on external servers, you have full control at all times: revoke Health access via Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Heatiz; delete match stats by swiping within the app or deleting the app entirely; remove iCloud data via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage; delete workouts directly in the Apple Health or Fitness apps; and clear crash reports via Settings → Diagnostics within the app.
