Do my matches show up in Apple Fitness?

Yes. Your Apple Watch saves every match into Apple Health as a soccer workout, so it appears in the Fitness app next to your other activities and counts toward your Move and Exercise rings. Heatiz then reads that same workout back to build your heatmap and stats — nothing is locked inside this app.

Why can't I use the Workout app during a match?

Apple Watch runs only one workout at a time, so while Heatiz is recording, the built-in Workout app cannot start its own session. Everything you would check there is on the match screen instead: swipe to the metrics page for live heart rate, distance, calories, top speed, and sprints. Your match still lands in Apple Health and the Fitness app when it ends.

Can I edit match stats on iPhone?

Yes. Open any match on iPhone and tap the edit button on the match summary screen to update your rating, goals, assists, and positions. You can also edit directly from your Apple Watch history.

What movement stats does the app show?

The match summary includes distance, duration, heart rate, calories, top speed, sprints, high-speed running (HSR), and a first-half vs. second-half comparison. Movement stats that depend on the pitch boundary — sprints, HSR, speed zones — require you to draw your pitch first. Tap the map card on the match screen to do this.

What is the Recovery Score?

The Recovery Score (shown on the Trends tab) is a 0–100 readiness score computed from your Apple Health data: heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, sleep, and training load. It gives you a daily snapshot of how ready your body is before a match or training session. The score personalises itself as it builds a baseline from your history.

What is the Trends tab?

The Trends tab on iPhone shows season-level charts including monthly match counts, goals and assists over time, distance per match, rating trend, and position frequency — plus your Recovery Score at the top.

Is there a home screen widget?

Yes. Heatiz includes a home screen widget that shows your most recent sessions. Long-press your home screen, tap the + button, and search for Heatiz in the widget gallery.

Does the app show weather for my matches?

Yes. Heatiz fetches historical weather conditions for each match using Apple's WeatherKit framework. Weather appears automatically on the match summary screen when a GPS location is available and you have an internet connection.

What are Saved Pitches?

You can save the pitch boundary you draw for a venue so you don't have to redraw it each time you play there. Saved pitches are managed in Settings → Saved Pitches.

Can I trim a match?

Yes. From the match summary screen you can trim the match start or end time — useful if you accidentally started the workout early or forgot to stop it on time.

Can I change units from metric to imperial?

Yes. Go to Settings → Units to switch between metric (km, km/h) and imperial (mi, mph).

No matches appearing

Heatiz reads workouts from Apple Health. If no matches appear, Health access may not be granted. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Heatiz and enable all categories.

No heatmap or GPS track

Heatmaps require location access during recording on Apple Watch. If no map appears, location permission may be missing. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Heatiz Watch App and set to 'While Using'.

No heart rate or calorie data

Heart rate and calories are read from Apple Health. If these show '–', grant Health access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Heatiz.

Movement stats are blurred

Movement stats (speed, sprints, HSR) require you to select your pitch first. On the match screen, tap the map card or the map toolbar button to draw the pitch boundary.

iCloud sync not working

Match annotations sync via iCloud. Ensure you are signed in to iCloud on both devices: Settings → [your name] → iCloud, and that iCloud Drive is enabled.

Weather not showing

Historical weather is fetched automatically after a match when a GPS location is available. If it doesn't appear, check your internet connection and try pulling to refresh on the season list.
